St Josephs catholic school hosts ‘Race for Life’ to support Cancer Research UK
St Josephs Catholic School is once again demonstrating its commitment to the community and charity by hosting it’s annual charity run on the 19th July 2024. This year marks the 4th year that the school has partnered with Cancer Research UK, reflecting a strong sense of meaning and support from the school.
The event set to take place on the school grounds, will see students running, walking and maybe even dancing their way round a 5-kilometer course. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for cancer research, a cause that touches many hearts in the community.
The students have shown tremendous enthusiasm and dedication, making the event a highlight of the academic year. Everybody is strongly encouraged to raise sponsorship money, which goes directly to Cancer Research UK, working tirelessly to find new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.
Cancer remains a significant health issue, with one in two people diagnosed with the disease at some point in their lives. Thanks to the advancements in research, cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. However, continued support and funding are crucial to making further progress.
St Joseph’s Catholic School’s ongoing commitment to Cancer Research UK through their annual charity run this year being ‘race for life’ exemplifies the schools dedication to making a positive impact and supporting vital causes.
To support the school in their fundraising efforts please donate to their go fund me page where all the proceeds will go directly to Cancer Research UK.
